Why You Should Focus on One? (Day 21)

September 3rd, 2009 by DrJon

This is The Power of One!

If you are something like me, you are a person that tends to be working on too many projects at the same time and haveing too many plates to handle.

Some people claims it is a good skill to be able to multitask. Before I would have agreed on that but I’ve recently come to the conclusion that multitasking isn’t always a good thing.
In fact, it can actually decrease your productivity enormously and, if you’re not careful, extend the time you have to work on projects before you will start to see a positive cashflow.

An example of this is when you are focusing on several different marketing methods before you have mastered any one of them.

If you focus on three methods instead of one at a time, It can actually take more than twice as long time to get a positive cashflow from any one of the methods compared to if you would have focused on one at a time. This is something I discuss in my video above.

I can agree that multitasking is good in some areas and for some purposes but one must beware that if done in a wrong context it can actually decrease your over all productivity and performance.

I hope this helps and give you some insights on WHY it is so important with focus! :)

Please share your view and give me some comments about this!

Why Your Excuses Are Limiting Your Life? (Day 18)

August 7th, 2009 by DrJon

-Excuses Begone!

This is a phrase that Dr. Wayne W. Dyer is using as a title for his latest book and I can only agree with him.

We should always try to remove excuses from our lifes because what most of them do is that they only serve to justify some limiting belifes we have in our mind.

Almost any excuse we make up is actually a based upon a limiting belief and in order to justify that this limiting belief is true you need to come up with a rationalization for your unconcious mind so that you don’t have to feel bad.

In my opinion it will speed up your way to success or reach your goals if you just remove as many of these excuses that you can. We all sometimes have excuses that come from a limiting belief, no exception. Everyone has them, no matter which level you are currently at, limiting beliefs is just a set of rules that determine our reality.

Every time you use words like “but”, “because” and “cant’” in an excuse, there is probably a limiting belief behind and there is also a possibility for you to change that and expand your reality. :)

What you need to do in order to accomplish this, is to cloesly pay attention to when you are using these excuses, and instead of just making the excuse you Just Do It!

Go for it and go against your own excuse!

You will be amazed how much progress you can have when you do it in this way.

The best way to find out when you are excusing yourself is probably to watch how you use your language and every time you use one of those words, “but” “because” and “can’t” (you can probably come up with more words as well).

Apply This as a Habit in your life, to pay attention to your excuses and you will see that your way to your goals will be SOO much faster! :)

To the Top (without excuses),
Dr Jon

How To Always Start Your Day in a Good Mood? (Day 12)

July 23rd, 2009 by DrJon

This video discuss the topic of how important it is to always start your day in a good mood in order to be as effective and productive as you can be.

To ensure that you start your day in a good mood you can implement certain rituals and habits in your life that will give You the best start you can have.

Having a good ritual in place that will serve you in getting a good start of your day is absolutely one of the most beneficial things you can do for yourself when it comes to increase your productivity and effectivity.
You will not be able to reach your peak potential as long as you don’t start your day off in the best possible way.

Also, when you have a morning ritual in place that will help you start your day, you will notice that any day where you occasionally miss to do the ritual for some reason, you will be much more in a reactive mood and respond thereafter. You will loose some of your control and power in that sense that you’ll feel like you are bouncing around and responding to outer impressions much more during those days than in a day that started with the ritual. This loss of control is also very likely to show up in your life as less productivity, effectivenesss and you will be more tired.

Take this lesson to your heart and implement rituals and habits that will empower your life in the long run. If you dont have the habits in place, chances are that some day soon in the future you will feel lots of resistance to do this ritual and eventually you will loose track of what you are doing and has to start all over again.

Dr Jon
