Social Media Tribes Explained

Social Media Tribes and Tribe Syndication – What is it All About?

Tribe syndication has become some of a buzz word in the social media industry recently. Why is that?
Social media tribes is something that will be crucial to bew a part of in the future of marketing online.

Having a tribe can mean several things – a group of people that follows you and adores you (kind of a fan base),
but it can also be a group that you have put together that you work closely together with (kind of a mastermind group).

Either way, a tribe your tribe is a group of people that will help you out and spread your word.

Anyway, My definition of a social media tribe is to have a group of people where everyone helps each other out to spread their content (blog posts, videos, articles).

It can do amazing things for the exposure of you and your content to be a part of a tribe,
And the core tribe is just the first level. They will in turn have built up other relationships that will help them (and you) out and spread content.
Being a part of a tribe can definitely have a viral effect on your exposure if you do it right.

Famous people withing Social media like Gary Vaynerchuk (@garyvee), Mari Smith, and Seth Godin have all built up their tribes of follwers that help them out but that is more tribes based of a fans.

Now you it’s time for you to do it too! Even if you are not so famous (yet) you can still put together your own tribe and start syndicating each other’s stuff.

Watch the video aboce to learn how you can take advantage of the tribe and start building your own online presence with more power.

The leverage a tribe can do for you shall not be underestimated! :)

Great explanation of the latest trend.
Actually I am not sure I would call it
a trend because it is here to stay!

Tribes are definitely going to be
all the buzz in 2010 and for years
to come. Build those alliances, joint
    ventures, leverage others expertise while
at the same time offering your services as well. It becomes a “no-brainer” and a win-win situation for all parties involved.

    Cheers

Jon, what an excellent description of tribes! I’m so blessed that I was able to take the Tribe TSMI class with you guys. It has been a powerful learning adventure!

From a sheer numbers standpoint, 1 person on a syndication tribe with 5 others, yields a 500% leverage or return on the investment of their time in participating in a Tribe… so the question becomes… why not?

I have heard tribes mentioned for a while now, but I didn’t really understand how powerful and necessary tribes are until I took the Tribe Mastermind Intensive course. I am amazed at how quickly you can start to see results if you team up with the right people.

I have met so many wonderful people in the last month and I am so honored to have the opportunity to work with and learn from you!
