The Relationship Age – My First Published Book

Yes, I am finally a published Author.

I guess some of you didn’t know but this book has been in the works for the past 10 months and finally it is now released to the world in hard copy.

The book is all about building relationships online. With today’s technology and social media, there are so many opportunities to build relationships online. The book focus on professional relationships, like with your clients and prospects, but also professional friend type of relationships that are much more frequent with all the social media sites that are out there (like Facebook and Twitter).

The book has chapters from over 20 authors that are experts in their field. My friend and mentor Mari Smith is the leading author and the front figure since she probably is the most well known author in the book.

There is a high demand for this type of information and one thing that make this book stand out is that it is not just a lot of stories in it. Yes, it has stories but each chapter has also a How to-section in it wich can make it higly profitable for the personts that start to implement what they learn.

The Reason You Buy From Someone… (Day 23)

The Reason why You buy from someone, What is it?

It’s obvious when you think about it.

Most of the times when you chose to buy a product or service from someone you have a reason for buying from that particular person.

I mean, no matter what it is that you are gonna buy, you normally have a multiple of choices of people to buy from. (sometimes thousands upon thousands of people selling the same thing).

If someone you don’t know (or someone you just met) starts pitching you and wanting to sell you something, chances are high that you will be repelled by that and not buy something at all from that person. Hardly anybody likes the feeling of being approached and pitched immediately when they meet someone.

I compare this to going to a coctail party. When you arrive there, you don’t start to sell people stuff the first thing you do.
Well, IF YOU DO, you will be looked at as a total jerk and you ruin your reputation.

Still, this is what many people and businesses do when they are comming online and start using social media.
They Spam their links all over the place. To their Twitter followers, their newly added Facebook friends and leaving comments with no value on everyont and their father’s blogs.

How Cool is that?

Well, I don’t like it!
And I belive I have many people with me on this.

Pelple want to buy from someone they TRUST, LIKE or KNOW (and preferably ALL of those three points at the same time).
So if you start by establishing relationships with with people, just like you would do on a cocktail party, you will start to connect with some people and they will get to know you. Hopefully they will also start like you and trust you and your chanses of them doing business with you sometime in the future will be increased enormously!

I call this method Attraction Marketing or Relationship Marketing.

If you recognize yourself in my description of people that are posting their links and trying to pitch and sell to someone as soon as you meet them, No Offense, There is always possible to change your methods of approaching people.

And If you don’t wanna change your methods, I don’t judge you, but I will probably not do business with you either. :)
